The dial with pierced and engraved hands raised with a central figure of Venus, accompanied by torch and cornucopia-bearing satyrs, bacchantes, putti and mythical beasts, all among scrolling acanthus, above a repeating frieze of putti and birds, supported on six winged herms above lions monopodiae and stepped feet, the reverse engraved E. F. Caldwell & Co., Inc./New York
