A Regence style ormolu-mounted kingwood and parquetry bureau plat

The serpentine-shaped ormolu-moulded top set with a gilt-tooled black leather writing surface, above a conforming trellis parquetry frieze with an inset central drawer and flanking short drawers, the reverse with similar false drawers, each side centred with a Bacchic mask beneath a sliding writing surface, on cabriole legs headed by satyr masks and tapering to paw feet, the right corner moulding inscribed F. LINKE, the locks engraved to the reverse CT LINKE/SERRURERIE/PARIS
