The frames circa 1890, The tapestry 18th Century
Each with arched padded back, arms and seat covered in close-nailed verdure tapestry woven with exotic birds, the waved seat-rail centred by a stylised scallop-shell, on acanthus-spray headed cabriole legs joined by an 'X'-shaped stretcher, on scrolled feet, one inscribed to the underside MAHOT X1, the other with 2/MAHOT (2)
