Deep dark crimson color. Really fantastic nose of rich juicy ripe plums & blackcurrants. A big wine on all accounts, lots of tannin, concentrated fruit; great structure. Needs at least 10 years. A very consistant wine, like the 1994 & 1996 it is on a very high quality level. DW
