Two Khorassan bronze inkwells
12th/13th Century
each of cylindrical form, the covers with lobed central bosses rising to a ball knop, the lid rim incised with kufic inscription, with loop handles, decorated with bird and foliate cartouches -- 3 1/8in. (7.9cm.) high approx., and a Persian brass oval hinged box and flattened cover, with fitted inner compartments, incised decorated with an animal hunting scene, 17th/18th Century. -- 5 3/8in. (13.7cm) long, (old damages).
