A Damasacus rectangular tile
17th century
painted in blue, aubergine, turquoise and white enamels with a central flowerhead reserved with sprays of carnations and blossom, on a blue ground reserved with carnation heads to the corners and trailing flowers -- 10½in. x 8¾in. (26.6cms x 22.2cms), (in two sections and restuck); a Sind square tile decorated in blue, turquoise and white with scrolling floral designs -- 11in. (28cms) wide, (broken and restuck); and a small framed circular tile, decorated with entwined foliage and dot motif roundels -- 3¾in. (9.5cms) diam.
