A group of Persian stellar tiles mounted as a panel
13th/14th century
comprising four large tiles, two demi-tiles and a small stellar tile to the centre, variously moulded and painted in blue, ochre, cream and lustre glazes with figures, animals, flower sprays and foliage, within calligraphic borders -- the panel 23in. x 17in. (58.5cms x 43cms), (old wear and some restoration).
