A HAIDA SHAMAN'S WOOD DANCE RATTLE
carved in two sections joined by two small wood pegs (one missing), with cylindrical handle surmounted by a compressed round human head delicately carved with oval-pointed eyes under a straight brow, triangular nose and small, open mouth with thin ridged lips above a pronounced pointed chin, remnants of black paint on the pupils, brows, and back of the head, the reverse inscribed with yellow paint, 3691.1
