A Berlin blue-ground glockenform cabinet-cup and saucer
Circa 1815, underglaze blue sceptre marks, orange enamel dash marks, painter's orange dot and impressed 10 //, saucer with black painter's mark and impressed 20 //
The cup painted with a girl in a landscape, wearing a straw hat and holding a sword, within a rectangular gilt line panel against a matt blue ground gilt with scrolling foliage and flowerheads and below a gilt border of scrolling palmettes, the foot gilt with stiff leaves, the high gilt scroll handle with a band of white beads, the interior richly gilt, the saucer with a central rosette within a matt blue band with gilt scrolling foliage, the rim gilt with scrolling palmettes
