A Berlin topographical cabinet plate
Circa 1815, underglaze blue sceptre mark, gilder's 2 (?) mark in gold, Pressnummer 16 and incised // to footrim
The centre painted with Das Cadettenhaus zu Berlin. inscribed in black script to the reverse, within a broad gilt band chased with scrolls, the salmon-pink border gilt with a band of vases and palmettes linked by scrolling foliage within a gilt line rim (very slight flake to centre)
9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm.) diam.
