Circa 1835, underglaze blue sceptre, stencilled iron-red orb over K.P.M. mark, iron-red painter's o mark
The shallow circular bowl on a spreading circular foot, the interior with a garland of garden flowers including rose, aster, morning glory and hibiscus between gilt bands and enclosing a narrow band of gilt palmettes, the underside of the rim with a band of moulded biscuit vine above gilt scrolling foliage on a salmon-pink ground, the stem and foot with gilt stripes alternating with matt-gilt stripes with vermiculé decoration (very slight chip to foot)
