A GEORGE I WALNUT BUREAU-BOOKCASE
Crossbanded overall and inlaid with ebonised and boxwood lines, the rectangular cavetto cornice above a pair of glazed doors enclosing two adjustable shelves, the lower section with a hinged slope enclosing a fitted interior with four small drawers, three secret drawers, a central cupboard, eight pigeon-holes and a sliding well, above two short and two long graduated drawers, on shaped bracket feet, the metalwork replaced, probably originally with mirror-panelled doors
