The basket with mark of TP, possibly for Thomas Price, circa 1810; the salt-cellars, mark of Charles Thomas Fox & George Fox, London, 1859, the spoons, possibly Continental, marks indistinct
The basket shaped circular, on three caterpillar feet, the body formed as overlapping petals and foliage, with pierced interlaced foliate swing handle, the base with maker's mark and sterling mark, the handle with sterling mark; the salt-cellars, each bombé circular, on three hairy lion's paw feet with lion's masks terminals, chased with a foliate band on a matted ground, marked on base, the salt-spoons, each shell-form with grotesque mask and foliate stems and mask and strapwork terminals, one indistinctly marked at heel
the basket: 5¼ in. (13 cm.) diam.;
the salt-cellars, 3 1/8 in. (8 cm.) diam.
