A VERY RARE PERSIMMON-GLAZED DING-TYPE SEAL PASTE BOX AND COVER
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (960-1127)

Of flattened circular shape, the periphery of the slightly domed cover cut with a sharp angle before the short vertical sides, fitting onto the box with matching sharp angle defining the shallow side, raised on a short foot ring, the glaze of reddish-brown tone with areas of iridescence, the rims and foot unglazed revealing the buff body
