YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)

The high-shouldered baluster jar rises to a short cylindrical neck, all covered by a lustrous glaze of pale celadon tone

Lot Essay

An identical jar was included in the Exhibition of Chinese Arts, Messrs. C. T. Loo & CO., New York, 1941, illustrated in the Catalogue, no. 786; a pair was sold in these Rooms, 20 March 1990, lot 610; and another single jar from the Goldschmidt Collection was sold in Hong Kong, 13 November 1990 , lot 59.
