Two German engraved goblets
Circa 1750, the friendship goblet probably Lauenstein
Comprising one Dutch-engraved friendship goblet with a thistle bowl depicting two clasped hands above two burning hearts flanked by branches, the reverse inscribed DE VRINDSCHAP (Friendship), the stem with a knop above a hollow inverted baluster section and folded conical foot, 17.7 cm. high; and one with a funnel bowl engraved with two satyrs flanked by geometrical motifs and foliage, on hexagonal pedestal stem and folded conical foot engraved with a continuous branch, 17.8 cm. high
