A Meissen Punktzeit group of two lovers
1763-1774, marked with underglaze blue crossed swords enclosing a dot
Gilt and painted in colours, modelled as a seated maiden wearing; a yellow bodice, a green skirt, a purple flowing scarf and a white hat with ribbons, holding a sealed letter in her right hand, a bird of prey sitting on her white apron, flanked by a dog and a recumbent sheep, a gallant man in Roman warrior dress bending over her and offering a flower, high branches behind them, another recumbent sheep to the back, on shaped rockwork grassy base applied with flowers (restorations)
