Circa 1470, possibly Faenza
Painted in blue, turquoise-green and manganese-red, comprising: four tiles painted with winged putti holding a large tulip and foliage; six tiles with four large scrolled acanthus leaves and small dots to the corners (some with partly rubbed decoration)

Comparable slightly different tiles in the Mazzatosta Chapel in the church of Santa Maria della Verità in Viterbo and in the Abbadia di San Salvatore in Southern Tuscany. The tiles in the above lot have probably been produced in Southern Tuscany, but there are also comparable examples which are attributed to Faenza.
