An Imari bowl and a saucer dish
Circa 1720
A kenjo Imari bowl painted to the centre with a phoenix medallion surrounded on the sides by stylised dragons forming shaped panels on a trellis-pattern ground, the base with a Chenghua six character mark, 18.7 cm. diam.; and an octagonal Imari saucer dish, each side pierced with a wave-pattern roundel, encircling the central panel with two finger citrons and peony, 22.5 cm. diam.
