'An important work in the history of the northwest coast exploration, which deals largely with the [Aleutian Islands and the] islands of the Bering Sea, discovered by the Promyschleniki Commercial Company on their trading voyages [of 1765-1767] beyond Kamchatka. The work gives information on the people and wildlife of these islands. The map depicts Alaska as an island and shows routes taken by various Russian expeditions' (Hill). The Account... takes up only pp.1-40, this is then followed by A narrative of the singular adventures of Four Russian Sailors, who were cast away on the desert Island of East-Spitzbergen [i.e.Edge Island] ...
