1918, "Aurora" relief expedition. Report of voyage, by commander. 20th December, 1916, to 9th February, 1917. Melbourne: Albert J.Mullett, [1918]. 2° (330 x 208mm). 2 lithographic maps (1 printed in three colours). (Two leaves deatached.) Original wrappers (backstrip split, some browning and creasing). Provenance: Martin H.Moyes (signature on upper cover); G.C.Ingleton (stamp and catalogue number 2755). Rare, association copy from the great Ingleton collection of Australiana. Moyes served as Staff Officer aboard the 'Aurora', and Davis notes in the report that 'Instructor Moyes, R.A.N., although sledging operations proved unnecessary, has, in conjunction with the 2nd Officer, relieved me of all routine navigating duties. He has also acted as Meteorologist and Draughtsman'. Spence 353.
