The album with 28 cartes-de-visite in pre-cut gilt-ruled card mounts, shown in sequence by dropping action, purple velvet with date 1878 in gilt thread on front cover, g.e., ormolu case with integral strut in the form of an easel, gilt-decorated agate gate-fold cover, 2 gilt keys, in purple velvet box with central medallion in gilt.
