A Derby two-handled pierced circular basket
Circa 1758
Painted to the interior with a butterfly, insects and a caterpillar below a branch with cherries, the pierced trellis-pattern sides applied with pale-blue flowerheads to the exterior, with a brown-line rim, the turquoise rope-twist handles with leaf and flowerhead terminals, the foot with a yellow rope-twist band (a faint crack to the rim, probably from firing, some minor scratches)
