Calibre 27-70, rhodium finished 24-jewel lever movement adjudsted to heat, cold, isochronism and eight positions with Gyromax balance, movement stamped with the Seal of Geneva, silvered dial with applied gold baton markers, gold Feuille hands, combined subsidiary constant seconds and 24-hour dial, combined minute recording dial and leap year dial, subsidiary date dial, day, month and moonphase apertures, circular case with screw down glazed back, concave bezel, down turned stepped lugs, two pushers in the band, 18ct pink gold buckle and deployant clasp, dial, case and movement signed.

Further details
Production of reference 3971 started in 1986 and was divided into two references, the 3971 with screw down glazed back and the 3970 with screw down solid metal back. Soon after the launch the two watches were joinded as reference 3970 with solid metal back and an optional sapphire crystal back was offered, as a result, watches bearing the reference 3971 are very rare.
