A German clockwork Circus Ringmaster and Equestrienne
painted tinplate dapple grey horse, on clockwork tricycle frame with radially-set lead wheels, painted in green, with bisque-headed ringmaster and equestrienne dressed in silk and velvet costumes with gilt-paper trimming, yellow silk saddle-cloth and cast iron base for ringmaster, --horse 22cm. high, circa 1890 (paint overall G, horse with one ear bent, one missing, old damage simply soldered, including refixing of one hind leg, chest wheel, tail, solder to underside to fix tricycle frame, solder repair to one wheel hub)
