TWO CYPRIOT MOTTLED RED POLISHED WARE JUGS AND A BOTTLE
EARLY BRONZE AGE, 2500-1900 B.C.
One jug with broad-shouldered body tapered to pointed base, with cutaway-beak spout and single pierced lug opposite the handle, decorated with incised dotted friezes on the shoulder and relief-work on the neck, repaired, 7 1/8 in. (18.2 cm.) high; another round-bodied jug with cylindrical spout, decorated with short incised strokes on neck and handle, 6¼ in. (16 cm.) high; and a bottle with two tall stylized animal-head lugs on the shoulder, a raised boss between on either side, decorated with incised dots, the tall round neck pierced for suspension, repaired with slight restoration, 6 in.
