A CYPRIOT MOTTLED RED POLISHED WARE STEMMED BOWL
EARLY/MIDDLE BRONZE AGE, 2500-1650 B.C.
The hemispherical bowl raised on tall stem, the stem pierced above tripod base, with incised dots, the bowl with notched relief-work cord decoration, twin lobes on the rim, 5½ in. (14 cm.) high; a small jug of similar ware with round-based body, wide squat neck and high arching handle, a raised boss on the shoulder, with incised linear decoration including four stylized comb figure motifs, Early Bronze Age, 2500-1900 B.C., 4½ in. (11.5 cm.) high; and a Philia Red Polished Ware bowl, the deep body with small flat base and flaring sides, pierced lug handle on one side, repaired with slight restoration, Early Bronze Age, 2500-2075 B.C., 3 in. (7.7 cm.) high (3)
