A LARGE CYPRIOT RED-AND-BLACK POLISHED WARE BOWL WITH SPOUT
EARLY/MIDDLE BRONZE AGE, 2000-1800 B.C.
Of shallow form with short trough spout, a square-ended lug pierced twice on the rim opposite, with incised geometric and chequered lozenge motifs, repaired with restoration, 8¾ in. (22.2 cm.) diam.; another bowl similar, of hemispherical form with twin pointed lugs, one pierced, Early/Middle Bronze Age, 2000-1800 B.C., 5½ in. (14 cm.) diam.; an Incised Red Polished Ware bowl similar, with single pierced lug, 4½ in. (11.5 cm.) diam.; a Black-Topped Red Polished Ware bottle, the short neck with pierced flaring rim, decorated with incised geometric motifs, 4¾ in. (12.2 cm.) high; five Incised Red Polished Ware gourd juglets, decorated with geometric motifs, one with high arching handle, another with lug on shoulder, another fragmentary with three stylized Comb Figures within the incised decoration, 3½ to 5 3/8 in. (9 to 13.7 cm.) high; and a similar jug with wide squat neck, incised decoration, 2 7/8 in. (7.4 cm.) high, all Early Bronze Age, 2500-1900 B.C., all with repair and some restoration (10)
