A CYPRIOT BICHROME WARE JUG
CYPRO-ARCHAIC, 750-475 B.C.
The ovoid depressed body with pinched spout, decorated with a central multiple triangle flanked by swastikas and a vertical cross-hatched band, broad encircling band below, the spout with dot and circle eye motif, 4 7/8 in. (12.3 cm.) high; a Wheelmade White Painted Ware jug similar, three 'fir tree' motifs around the shoulder, the handle with ladder pattern and dotted crossed squares; and another similar with dotted cross motifs around the shoulder, a loop 'tail' beneath the handle, both repaired, 8 5/8 in. (22 cm.) and 5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) high respectively, both Cypro-Archaic, 750-475 B.C. (3)
