A CYPRIOT BLACK-ON-RED WARE JUGLET

The barrel-shaped body with short neck and flaring rim, decorated with black bands and concentric circles, 4¼ in. (10.9 cm.) high; another similar, the round body with flat base, concentric circles around the shoulder, 3½ in. (9 cm.) high; a stemmed bowl with twin loop handles, encircling bands and blocks of vertical lines around the body, 3 in. (7.6 cm.) high; a shallow dish similar with two rim lug handles, 4¾ in. (12.1 cm.) diam., both Cypro-Geometric/Archaic, 800-600 B.C.; and four Wheelmade Red Ware vessels, comprising three Phoenician type juglets, the ovoid body with carinated shoulder and short collared neck with mushroom-shaped lip, 4in. (10.1 cm.) high max., and a shallow dish with two rim holes on everted rim, 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) diam., 7th Century B.C., mainly repaired (8)
