FIVE CYPRIOT BICHROME WARE VESSELS
CYPRO-ARCHAIC, 750-475 B.C.
Decorated with red and black concentric circles and encircling bands, comprising a bowl with twin horizontal loop handles, the body with narrow flaring rim tapering to small ring foot, with vibrant decoration on the interior and exterior, 3 3/8 in. (8.7 cm.) high; a small amphora with wide neck and everted rim, twin loop handles on the shoulder, on flat base, 5¼ in. (13.5 cm.) high; a barrel-jug, the spherical body with central moulded nipple at either side, four sets of concentric circles around the body, single handle, repaired with slight restoration, 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high; a shallow dish with 'wishbone' handles; and another similar, repaired, 4 in. (10.2 cm.) and 5¾ in. (14.6 cm.) diam. respectively (5)
