With her hair worn in 'melon' coiffure, gazing to the left, wearing himation draped over the back of her head, white slip and painted details remaining, mounted, 4¼ in. (10.8 cm.) high; a Romano-Egyptian terracotta lantern of cylindrical form with conical top, the body with moulded mask of a satyr within a framed rectangular opening, the grimacing, chubby face with bulbous eyes and long curling locks, a flaming torch placed at each side, rectangular opening at the rear; and another similar, with the helmeted mask of Athena at the front, both circa 1st Century B.C., 4½ in. (11.5 cm.) high av. (3)
