AN EGYPTIAN PREDYNASTIC POTTERY 'NET' JAR
NAQADA III, CIRCA 3100-3000 B.C.
Of cylindrical form with rounded rim and 'scalloped' decoration around the neck, painted with brown criss-cross bands imitating a carrying net, with mount; and another Predynastic painted pottery jar, the spherical body with twin lug handles and painted with red spiral decoration, Naqada II, circa 3200 B.C.
10 5/8 in. (27 cm.) and 6 in. (15.2 cm.) high respectively (2)
