Prior to their acquisition of the cabinet-makers Miles & Edwards of 134 Oxford Street in 1844, C.Hindley & Sons were carpet, rug and floor manufacturers. Items stamped 'C.HINDLEY & SONS 134 OXFORD STREET' can be dated to after 1844.
