the hen with finely incised feathers with its young beside and clambering on its back, inset eyes, signed -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; and an ivory netsuke of a snail on a mokugyo with twin confronting dragon-head handle, the reverse with a flywhisk to the interior -- 1¼in. (3.2cm.) wide, (minor wear).
