A Chinese soapstone brushwasher
19th Century
in the form of a fish amongst foaming waves, two floriform sections to the rear -- 3 1/8in. (7.9cm.) wide; a Cantonese tortoiseshell cardcase carved with a continuous scene of figures in tiered tree-lined landscapes in boats and pavilions -- 4¾in. (12cm.) high; a pair of alabaster scroll weights in the form of buddhistic lions and an Indian alabaster figure of a deity and attendant on shrine -- 3 5/8in. (9.2cm.) max. high, (minor nibbles).
