18th Century and later
carved wearing long robes and hats, one holding an open fan the other a drum, incised signature to base -- 1 3/8in. (3.5cm.) wide; eight further ivory and stag-antler netsuke including, Daikoku and a small boy, a bell with an oni on the side, a naked child carrying a basket on his head, a noh mask signed, a figure kneeling beside a large jar, a father and child and man seated on a horse with his family beside, signed -- 2½in. (6.4cm.) max. high; a small sectional okimono of three figures with bamboo sticks, two elephant groups, a singlr elephant and an ox -- 4 3/8in. (11.1cm.) max. high. (13)
