A Japanese basse-taille enamel vase
Meiji/Taisho Period
of tapering form, decorated in various coloured enamels with flower sprays, on a red ground with silver foil beneath decorated with leaves -- 9 5/8in. (24.4cm.) high; another very similar vase decorated with bamboo -- 9½in. (24cm.) high; and plain red enamel basse-taille hexagonal vase decorated on the silver foil with birds amongst flowers -- 8 1/8in. (20.6cm.) high, (minor wear).
