A Sino-Tibetan gilt-bronze model of Buddha
17th/18th century
seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus throne, with tightly curled hair and conical usnisa, with serene facial expression and downcast eyes. Wearing flowing robes draped over one shoulder with a foliate hem, with his hands in bhumisparsa, base sealed -- 11½in. (29.2cm.) high, (a few small repairs, two fingers missing to one hand, old wear).
