A Chinese axe-head and finial
Warring States
the axe-head in the form of a mythical bird with beak forming the inscribed blade, the back of the head well-cast in openwork with dragons, the finial with a dragon issuing from scroll pattern around the socket -- 10in. (25.5cm.) long; and a Eastern Zhou dynasty bronze spearhead, with a socket of indented oval section, the median ridge cast emerging from the rear of the socket, widening into an arrow shape, both in fitted boxes -- 11in. (28cm.) long. (axe-head repaired).
