An Yixing teapot and cover
18th century
of rounded square form, the finial modelled as a recumbent Buddhistic lion facing a rotating brocade ball, on a ground carved with precious objects -- 4¾in. (12cms) high, impressed seal to interior of cover; and a globular Yixing teapot and cover with seated Buddhistic lion and cub finial, carved in relief in lighter clay tones with chrysanthemum sprays and guei dragons -- 6¼in. (16cms) high, (small chips to inner rims).
