Western Jin
the ovoid body decorated with mythical beasts and foliate appliques, surmounted by a a group of musicians seated before a shrine with sloping tiled roofs above each tower, a group of musicians and further figures seated to the exterior beside an inscribed stele, covered overall in a greyish-celadon glaze -- 17 3/8in. (44.1cms) high, (some restoration to extremities and body), fitted box.
