Wrought by Sarah Taylor, Probably Philadelphia, dated 1802
Worked in green, blue, yellow, white, brown and black, depicting a man and woman outside of a house surrounded by animals and a lake filled with ducks, the inscription reading Lord this I ask in faith sincere The wisdom from above To touch my heart with felial fear And pure celestial love My selfish will in time subdue And mortify my pride And lend my youth a sacred clue To find the crucified and Sarah Taylor's work done in her ninth year 1802
