The cartouche cresting decorated with a fallen Ionic column and flanked by foliate scrolls, the eared rectangular frame, enclosing a later rectangular plate, decorated with palm fronds, an artist's palette, an oval portrait medallion and foliate swags with a Greek-key carved base centered by a foliate decorated cartouche flanked with shells to the corners, the lower right corner of the frame with an indistinct inscription CORREGIO, some losses to carving
