Blue interlaced L's mark, date letters DD below for 1781, painter's mark for Sioux, gilder's mark for Chauvaux, le jeune to both, the ecuelle incised 43a and with a squiggle, the stand incised 1o//
The center of the stand with a gilt-seeded rosette outlined in blue centering a berried laurel wreath, the emplacement edged with gilt scallops and purple seeding on a blue ground, the border, exterior of the bowl and cover with concentric scallops of puce seeding forming quartefoil flowers, gilt laurel, and peignés bleu from which is suspended a garland of flowers, gilt dentil rims
4½in. (11.5cm.) high overall and 6 5/8in. (16.8cm.) wide overall, the écuelle; 8¼in. (21.9cm.) diam., the stand (2)
