Circa 1740, blue crossed swords mark, impressed * and Pressnummer 1 to footrim
The foliage-moulded wishbone handle and bird's head spout enriched with puce, iron-red and gilding, each side painted with estuary scenes with merchants at various pursuits by barrels, sacks, figures on horseback and boating figures by the shoreline, before distant ships, buildings and hills, within quatrefoil black line cartouches against a yellow ground between gilt line borders, the cover similarly decorated with a strawberry finial flanked by two cartouches
