Circa 1745, blue crossed swords, modelled by Peter Reinicke
Modelled before a treestump leaning forward from the waist, his left leg extended backwards, his jacket halved front and back and alternately painted turquoise or with puce, black and silver diamonds, the base applied with flowers and leaves

Lot Essay

The present model is from the series of Commedia figures modelled by Peter Reineke for Johann-Adolf II, duke of Sachsen-Weissenfels 1743-1745.
