This safety pin brooch was acquired at a charity auction held during a Gala evening organised by "Action Innoncence Genève", an association whose aim is to fight against child pornography and pedophilia on the internet. This brooch has been exclusively designed by Van Cleef & Arpels for the above auction. The theme of the auction was the safety pin; theme on which ten of the most prestigious jewellers especially designed and donated brooches for this auction.
