An extremely rare group of 18th Century bead and feather chairs
with pinked backs and stretchers, pearlised and coloured beads and pink silk upholstery, edged with yellow wired braid and yellow silk tassels at the front corners, one with arms --4¼in. (10.5cm.) high (slight damage) (7)
Provenance
An attached note to the arm chair reads 'Grandmama has sent as a present to her great grand daughter Mary Ann Levin Smith a set of chairs which were given to her when she was six years old in the year 1762 - Carshalton March 19th 1834'
