with down-cast eyes, long curls, moustache and beard, the jointed wood body dressed in dark green velvet trousers, pale green velvet waistcoat, linen shirt and brown and white printed velvet jacket --14¾in. (37.5cm.) high (paint flaking from head and one finger damaged); another similar in gold printed velvet waistcoat front and leggings (hand missing); another figure of an old man with carved long greybeard and hair, the jointed wood body dressed in green (left hand missing); and another carved as a young man with dark hair and beard dressed in yellow (some paint flaking from all heads) (4)
